A nine-year-old Ukrainian girl has gone missing from school in Germany

The German town of Debeln is looking for nine-year-old Valerie, who disappeared on her way to school on 3 June.

This is reported by the Saxony Police.

The search for the girl continues for the third day. The police note that all previous activities have not brought results, so the search area has been expanded and it is planned to involve a helicopter, search dogs.

The girl was last seen when she went to school on Bayerische Strasse at about 06:50 am. Usually Valeria went to school by bus, but on 3 June she never made it to class.

The girl's family only contacted the police in the afternoon when the schoolgirl did not return home.

Valeria is about 1.40 metres tall and has medium-length dark blonde hair. This morning she was wearing a purple t-shirt, black jeans, a light turquoise jacket and dark blue heeled shoes. She carries a pink briefcase and speaks broken German," police said.
