Nayev believes the war could go beyond the east and south

Cutting aid to Ukraine would significantly undermine the army's defence capability.
Russia continues to increase military production, while the Ukrainian army is starting to experience a shortage of weapons due to disruptions in supplies from its allies. This situation may provoke an aggravation on the frontline and military actions may spread beyond the south and east of the country. This was stated by the commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Nayev in a commentary to ABC News.
We understand that now there is a war for resources. The Russian Federation gets its resources with the help of the "Axis of Evil" - this is North Korea, this is Iran. And we are countering the Russian Federation with its resources with the help of our partners, receiving air defence equipment from them. We must understand that the reduction in aid will really hit our defence capability. But we will fight with what we have," the general said.
He noted that Western military equipment has a lot of advantages over the Soviet equipment, which is still used by Russia.
If the old Soviet equipment needs to spend 100 shells on a target, the Western one needs much less, the need is measured in figures of less than ten. Therefore, technology always has an advantage, and I emphasise once again: this assistance is very, very important for us," Naev pointed out.
He also added that the Ukrainian command is calculating different options for the development of events, also in the event that the supply of weapons is drastically reduced.
We would like to add that Russia has already lost 324,830 military personnel since the start of the full-scale war.
