National Police registered more than 114,000 offences related to Russian aggression
The Russians are killing Ukrainian civilians, including children, by shelling populated areas with rockets and drones.
At the beginning of April, investigators of the National Police of Ukraine registered more than 114,000 offences related to Russia's aggression. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during his evening address on 2 April, commenting on the conference on justice for Ukraine, which is taking place in The Hague in the Netherlands.
Justice must prevail. So that people feel it and so that Russia responds legally. We are actively working with partners on the assets of the terrorist state and persons associated with it. All frozen Russian assets should be directed to support defence against Russian aggression and restoration of normal life in our country after Russian terror," Zelensky stressed.
The president thanked the Netherlands for its leadership, the entire team of the International Criminal Court and all the countries working together on the relevant clause of the Ukrainian peace formula.
We will remind, the head of Ukrainian diplomacy Dmytro Kuleba today, 2 April, arrived in The Hague (Netherlands) and met with the country's Foreign Minister Hanke Bryauns Slot. The parties discussed steps to ensure fair punishment for Russian crimes.
We will remind, on 19 January 2023, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on the establishment of a special tribunal to prosecute the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine. The text of the resolution was made public on the website of the European Parliament.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba explained earlier that the special tribunal was actually the only possibility to hold Russia's top political and military leadership accountable precisely for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
