In Kupyansk direction, occupants try to regain lost territories - Malyar

The most difficult situation is in eastern Ukraine. The enemy is trying to stop the counter-offensive and regain lost territory.

This was reported by Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar in Telegram.

According to her, Russian invaders are trying to halt the Ukrainian offensive. They are making most of their efforts in the east.

For the enemy, the epicentre of hostilities remains the eastern front. There are the strategic directions of his offensive. The enemy believes that by striking in the East they will be able to reverse the situation on the front in general," Malyar said.

She noted that on Kupyansky, Limansky and Svatovsky directions the AFU constantly reflect enemy attacks, the number of which has increased.

There are heavy battles. The enemy's goal is to draw our forces to these directions in the direction of the offensive and break through our defence. In addition, in the Kupyansk direction, the enemy has set as its goal the return of the territories lost last autumn, - added the Deputy Minister of Defence.

The situation in the Bakhmut direction is also complicated. According to Malyar, the Ukrainian military on the southern flank is forced to move due to heavy fire and mines. In addition, the enemy is attacking and wants to regain lost positions on the northern flank.

Also in the East, the enemy is attacking Avdiivka and Maryinka directions. There are also hot fights there, but our defenders do not let the enemy advance, - said Malyar.

As previously reported, in Melitopol direction the AFU are advancing. According to Mykola Urshalovich, the Ukrainian defenders have advanced 650 metres deep into the enemy.
