More than 5,000 cases of desertion were opened in Russia over the year

The command of the Russian armed forces is trying to cover up mass desertion.
This is reported by the Centre for National Resistance (CNR).
The policy of concealing information in Russia continues. In particular, this concerns various crimes on the part of the Russian military and other facts indicating demoralisation of the personnel.
Sources told the CNR that a record number of Russian soldiers are absconding from service in the Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions. More than 5,000 court cases have been filed in the Russian Federation concerning AWOL from military units during 2023.
A large number of verdicts concerned desertion, as well as disobedience of orders of higher commanders, - reports the CNS.
The CNS also notes that this information is hidden from the Russian authorities at various levels.
