The Russian Defence Ministry has said that while shelling Zaporizhzhya at night, its troops did not hit a residential area, but a "fuel storage facility" of the Ukrainian armed forces. The statement was made on a Telegram of the aggressor country's agency .

In fact, the Russians shelled the residential sector of Zaporizhzhya. Specifically, an enemy missile hit a private sector and destroyed a residential house where people were sleeping at the time.
An 11-year-old girl and her 50-year-old father were killed in the strike. The 46-year-old mother was injured. She was taken to hospital. The couple's eldest daughter was visiting at the time of the shelling and was not injured.
