Mini CeGlin exhibition dedicated to the war in Ukraine opened in Vienna

The title "CeGlina" is a play on words indicating the material and works in the exhibition.
The Austrian capital Vienna has opened an exhibition "Impressions on a Brick" as part of the Mini CeGlina 2023 project, where Ukrainian artists in ceramics showed their experiences and feelings related to the war. This was reported by the Ukrainian Embassy in Austria on 26 February.
"Impressions on a Brick" is not just a display of contemporary Ukrainian ceramic art, but a communication between art and viewer, a bridge between the inner world of artistic thoughts and the outer world of the observer, - noted in the embassy.
The project "Mini CeGlina" was created in Ukraine during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in 2022. Artists use bricks as a canvas where they reflect their inner experiences and emotions. Each brick has its own unique story that appeals to the heart of each visitor.
The initiative was founded by artist Olesya Dvorak-Galik, the head of the Kyiv gallery of contemporary ceramics "CeGlinaArt". The name "CeGlina" is a play on words indicating the material and works presented in the exposition.
The unique ceramic works created by 29 artists tell stories of survival and hope in Ukraine.
The exhibition in Vienna will run from 26.02.24 to 03.03.24 at the Markhofgasse 19, Markhof Cultural Centre, Vienna.
The programme includes meetings with artists and exchange of experience between Ukrainian and Austrian ceramists. The musical organisation of the event is conducted by the Ukrainian youth quartet "Terlis".
