Martial law and mobilisation in Ukraine to be extended again

The vote in the parliamentary committee and the Rada will take place next week.
As MP Zheleznyak noted in Telegram, in the coming days the president will submit to the Verkhovna Rada two bills on the extension of martial law and general mobilisation.
The Rada vote will take place next week, probably on 22-25 July. Thus, both martial law and mobilisation may be extended for 90 days, i.e. until 9 November 2024. This will be the 12th vote for the extension of martial law and mobilisation. At this time, men receive summonses and can join the ranks of the AFU.
We will remind, on the first day of the full-scale invasion Ukraine imposed martial law throughout the country. A general mobilisation was also announced.
Martial law is a special legal regime, which is necessary for the authorities and the military for greater powers to protect the country from the enemy. The mobilisation is aimed at recruiting persons liable for military duty into the Defence Forces. On 18 May, a new law on mobilisation came into force, which tightened conscription.
