Nobel laureate Svetlana Aleksievich is on the list of those whose books should not be in Belarusian school libraries

In Belarus, the attack on freedom of speech and the oppression of any dissent continues.

According to the Belarusian Council of Culture, books by opposition authors have begun to be withdrawn from libraries. Aleksievich, Akudovich, Razanov, Bakharevich, Orlov and many other writers were included in the lists of objectionable authors.

As we know, the school libraries received a list of authors whose books should be withdrawn from use. All of them are members of the Union of Belarusian Writers, which was liquidated by the authorities, writes the Belarusian Council of Culture.

There are 33 authors on the list in total.
