The number of Russians willing to surrender has increased by 70 per cent - GUR

Following a successful special operation by the Ukrainian security services, which resulted in a Russian pilot driving an Mi-8 helicopter into Ukraine, the number of requests for Russian servicemen to surrender has increased.
A representative of the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Andrei Yusov, told Radio Liberty on air.
According to him, the number of appeals under the "I want to live" project has increased by 70 per cent.
There is a very jump on the line "I want to live" separately and through other communication channels. After the successful operation Sinitsa with the Mi-8 and the pilot, say, the number of Russian Army personnel who are considering a similar scenario for themselves has increased. Referring to the state project "I want to live" - the jump was about 70 per cent per day," Yusov said.
Yusov also denied information about a two million dollar reward for the transfer of a MiG fighter jet.
This information is more in the nature of such a legend and people's initiative. But, of course, there will be a reward for the MiG," he said.
We would like to point out that the state project "I want to live" is designed to help the Russian military to safely surrender to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The initiative guarantees the detention of captured servicemen in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Conventions.
