Klitschko also allows for partial evacuation from the city.
Kiev mayor Vitaliy Klitschko told this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
Klitschko warns Kiev residents that they should be prepared for power outages until spring, as low temperatures increase the load on the energy system.
At the same time, the mayor believes that there is no need to evacuate the city just yet, he said
There will not be a full evacuation - perhaps a partial one, but it cannot be called an evacuation. It is a temporary relocation of people of certain categories to the suburbs, where services can be located.
He also urged citizens to have supplies of technical and potable water, food supplies, warm clothes, charged laptops, paverbanks and offline maps on their phones at home.
