Occupiers promise Mariupol residents compensation for housing only if they have a Russian passport

The Russian occupiers have issued a decree with changes in property compensation. Now the payments are promised only to the citizens of the Russian Federation.

The leader of the so-called "DNR" Pushilin issued a decree that adopted changes on property compensation. Now the payments are promised only to citizens of Russia. Therefore, Mariupol residents are forced to get Russian passports, - stated in the message.

The document provides compensation only for one object. Accordingly, if a person had two houses, the funds he will be able to get only for one. And if the owner of a private house does not rebuild it in 10 years, the land plot is transferred to the ownership of the "DNR".

But Mariupol residents already realise that no resolution at all guarantees that they will receive any funds at all. Another promises, behind which there is nothing, - reported in Mariupol city Council.

It is also reported that in Mariupol the occupiers are developing plans for new buildings in which flats will be sold on mortgage, for which Mariupol residents have no funds. The owners of destroyed housing are offered to buy them.
