Kiev's chief boxing judge died on the frontline
Elchin Muradov went to defend Ukraine from the enemy from the first days of the Russian invasion.
Ukrainian boxing judge of international category Elchin Muradov died in the war against the Russian invaders. He was the chief boxing judge of Kiev. This was reported by the Federation of boxing of Ukraine.
It is noted that the cause of Muradov's death was artillery shelling by the enemy.
While at the front, as a result of the Russian artillery strike killed our friend, colleague, judge of the international category Elchin Muradov, - stated in the message.
It is indicated that the man went to the front as a volunteer from the beginning of the Russian invasion. There he remained to defend the Ukrainian land until now.
As noted by colleagues and friends of the deceased, before the war he did a lot for the sport, Kiev and Ukrainian boxing and, in particular, for refereeing.
We will always remember everything that this decent and good man did. Boxing Federation of Ukraine expresses its sincere condolences to the family, friends and relatives of Elchin! Eternal memory and glory to the Hero who died defending our Motherland! We will never forget!", - the message reads.
It should be noted that this loss, unfortunately, was not the first among boxers in 2023. In November, fellow countryman of Elchin Muradov from Brovary Andriy Yarchevskyy gave his life for the freedom of Ukraine.
