Johnson explained how the war could end in 2023

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson remains committed to supporting Ukraine in its fight against the occupiers.

Ukraine needs more weapons and therefore partners should focus on supplying weapons to Ukraine. Only in confronting the enemy and with victory, Ukraine will be able to put an end to this war, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, The Wall Street Journal has said. in particular, he said:

Ukraine's international partners should hand Ukraine all the weapons it needs to fight against Russia

Johnson stressed that the war in Ukraine could only end with the defeat of Vladimir Putin:

It is in the interest of everyone, including Russia, for the curtain to fall over Putin's misfortune as quickly as possible. Not in 2025, not in 2024, but in 2023

He called on the West to reconsider its options so that the Ukrainians can achieve their military goals or at least drive the Russians away from all the territories they have seized this year.

Ukrainians have the valour needed to succeed, they have shown it, they just need the equipment

According to the politician, Ukraine needs drones to detect drone and missile launch sites, as well as anti-aircraft missiles, longer-range systems such as ATACMS, and armoured vehicles and tanks to retake their territory quickly.

Johnson also called utter nonsense claims that increased aid to Ukraine allegedly threatens to escalate:

Mr Putin has reportedly started attaching conventional warheads to nuclear cruise missiles, which may suggest he is short on drones and missiles. This is only speculation, but we cannot afford to wait to find out

Johnson stressed, however, that Putin was aware of the consequences of using nuclear weapons

The politician added: "For the sake of the world, let's help these brave Ukrainians complete the job, and the sooner the better
