Kiev imposes restrictions on public transport due to overnight shelling


After the overnight attack on Kiev: public transport on the right bank is operating with restrictions.
The consequences of a massive overnight attack that disrupted the work of public transport in the right-bank part of the city continue in the Ukrainian capital. Due to the destruction and traffic restrictions on a number of streets, the routes of trolleybuses and buses have been changed and shortened.
This is reported by the Kyiv city state administration (KSCA).
What streets are blocked
According to the KSCA, as a result of the shelling, traffic was partially blocked on Zhmerynska and Yakub Kolas streets, as well as on Otradnoe Avenue. This led to changes in the schedule and routes of city transport.
What about trolleybuses
Route #41 is temporarily blocked.
Trolleybuses №27 run only to the Industrial Bridge.
Changes in bus routes
Bus #78 runs from the metro station "Vasylkivska" to the Ring Road.
Bus No. 9 in the direction of Lukyanivska metro station follows the route of bus No. 69.
Bus No. 69 in the direction of Litvinenko-Volgemut Street now follows the route of bus No. 9.
Bus #2 runs from Sholudenko Street to Kyiv-Volynskyi station - without entering Vakhtang Kikabidze Street.
Bus #75 leaves from Hryhoriy Gulyanitskyi Street without entering Lugovaya, Naberezhnaya, Shevchenko and Polyclinic stops.
Background of the attack
On the night of 4 July, Russian forces launched a combined strike on Kiev using kamikaze drones and various types of missiles. The first air alert in the capital was sounded on 3 July at 17:15, and then was re-announced around 20:00. Already during the night, a series of explosions took place in the city.
The attack injured at least 23 people, 14 of whom were hospitalised, while the rest received outpatient care. Damage was recorded in several areas of the capital, including residential buildings, infrastructure and cars.
