Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to provide financial assistance to the families of the fallen soldiers.



Ukrainian defenders and defenders who were wounded in battle or captured will be paid 100,000 hryvnia each. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with reference to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.

On April 1, at a government meeting, it was decided to amend the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated February 28, 2022 No. 168 "Issues of certain payments to military personnel, private and commanding personnel, police officers and their families during martial law. In particular, the adopted changes will allow include in orders for payment of additional remuneration, increased to 100,000 hryvnia, the message says.

Money will be paid:

- in connection with an injury related to the defense of the Motherland, are on inpatient treatment in health care institutions, including the time of transfer from one hospital to another, or are on leave for treatment after a serious injury on the conclusion of a military medical commission;

- persons who are captured or become hostages, as well as those interned in neutral states or missing;

- persons who died or died as a result of injuries or injuries - for the entire month in which the person died.

In addition, the document will make it possible to regulate the procedure for the monetary distribution of a one-time benefit in the event of a death of a person and to determine the full circle of persons entitled to a one-time financial assistance.

Relatives of the military who died in the war with the Russian occupation forces will be paid a one-time financial assistance in the amount of 15 million hryvnias. It will be divided equally among each member of the family.

The Government also provides assistance and compensation to the families of fallen servicemen for the material costs of funerals.
