Japan's foreign minister had to give a briefing in a hideout in Kyiv

Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa had to give a briefing in hiding because of an air alert in Kyiv.
Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa arrived in Ukraine on 7 January. She made a statement to the media in hiding due to an air alert. The video of the briefing was published on the Foreign Ministry's page.
Yoko Kamikawa visited Bucha, after which she met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Because of the air alert, they made a statement to the media in hiding.
Even now we are here due to the threat of a ballistic strike. And this is another reminder of the need to protect the Ukrainian sky as soon as possible," Kuleba said.
Kuleba and Kamikawa discussed Ukraine's air defence needs and the need to use Russian assets in Ukraine's favour.
Based on my visit, Japan is going to further strengthen bilateral co-operation between our countries," Kamikawa summed up.
She also said that Japan had handed over five mobile gas turbine generators and seven transformers to Ukraine.
