Dozens of places in Belarus where Ukrainian children are held - ombudsman

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has been removing Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories. Belarus is believed to be assisting the Russians in the deportations.
The Ombudsman's Office has managed to find out dozens of places where Ukrainian children are kept in Belarus
This was stated by the Ukrainian parliamentary commissioner for human rights, Dmytro Lubinets, in a commentary to Ukrinform.
In terms of the number of places - we (have information about - ed.) dozens (of these places in Belarus - ed.), - said Lubinets, answering the question of how many places where Ukrainian children are kept in Belarus.
He added that there is no data on the adoption or temporary custody of Ukrainian children by Belarusian families.
It should be noted that according to the representative of the Ombudsman, Alexander Kononenko, about 20,000 children are considered deported. About 380 children have been returned to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. At the same time, according to the National Police, 1,184 children are considered missing. 17,189 children have been recovered since the start of the Russian invasion.
