The current situation in the energy system of Ukraine

The Energy Ministry notes that Ukrainian power plants are currently producing enough electricity to meet the needs of consumers.

Yesterday, during four daytime hours, restrictions on RES production were applied in different regions with a total capacity of 1,290 MW, the ministry said.

In addition, power engineers continue to prepare for the heating season. Large-scale repair works are being carried out at the facilities of thermal, hydro and nuclear generation.

The most difficult situation remains in the frontline regions. In particular, in Kharkiv region power engineers continue to restore the networks damaged by shelling. In a day they managed to heal about 100 consumers, among them residents who have not had electricity since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Some consumers in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Sumy and Chernihiv regions also remain de-energised.
