Italy says what could be the start of World War III
A number of NATO countries oppose the Alliance's participation in the war in Ukraine, in particular Germany, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain and Italy. At the same time, there are countries willing to consider such a possibility, in particular Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
The introduction of Western troops into Ukraine to take part in a military conflict could lead to the outbreak of World War III, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has said. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said this, ANSA reported.
In his opinion, the risks are very high.
I do not think that NATO should enter Ukraine," he said commenting on French President Emmanuel Macron's words about the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.
Tajani said he hoped the French military would not be sent to help Ukrainian defenders in the war against Russian aggression.
To go to war with Russia means to create the risk of World War III," Tajani clarified.
We shall remind you that in late February, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Western troops might be sent to help Ukraine.
