It has become known which country will shelter Ukrainians evacuated from Israel


Another group of refugees will arrive at the airport in Cluj-Napoca on Monday.
TheRomanian authorities will provide shelter for 220 Ukrainian refugees who were evacuated from Israel. This was announced by the press service of the Romanian Interior Ministry's emergency situations department.
The ministry specified that people will receive everything they need, in particular medical care.
Romania acts in a spirit of international solidarity, providing support to Ukrainian citizens, forced to flee the war again, - is indicated in the message.
About 40-50 Ukrainians will remain in the country, they will be moved to temporary housing. The rest of the evacuees plan to continue their journey.
It is also known that on 16 October another transport with Ukrainian citizens will arrive at the international airport named after Avram Iancu in Cluj-Napoca, notes the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania.
After the aggravation of the situation in the Middle East, the Romanian authorities repatriated more than 2,150 of their citizens from Israel. Among the passengers of the first outbound flight on 7 October were reportedly foreign citizens.
Recall that on 7 October 2023, the Hamas terrorist group attacked Israel. The militants carried out a massive bombardment of Israel and invaded its territory, killing and taking hostages. The Palestinian attack killed more than 1,200 people, mostly civilians. About 3,000 people were injured and more than a hundred Israelis were kidnapped into captivity in the Gaza Strip.
In response, Israel launched Operation Iron Swords, striking the Gaza Strip. Hamas, on the other hand, has threatened to execute civilian hostages in response to the strikes on Gaza.
