Negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU may start as early as 25 June. This was stated by Radio Liberty correspondent Ricardo Jozwiak on Twitter and the Belgian EU presidency on Twitter.

Jozvak emphasised that Hungary no longer blocks the negotiating framework for Ukraine and, consequently, Moldova.

The Belgian presidency, in its turn, confirmed that the ambassadors of the EU member states supported the framework of negotiations on Ukraine and Moldova's accession to the bloc.

The Belgian presidency will convene the first intergovernmental conferences on 25 June," the statement said.

We shall remind you that the EU leaders approved the start of accession talks with Ukraine back in December last year. This required the EU to approve the negotiating framework.
