Iran's president urged Muslim countries to arm Palestinians

Iran's president accused Israel of "inhumane actions under US patronage".
At the joint summit of the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia, Iranian leader Ibrahim Raisi called on Muslim countries to arm Palestinians so that they could kill Israeli soldiers. Saudi TV channel Al-Ekhbariya reported that.
Muslim countries should arm the Palestinian people. Resistance is the only way to counter Israeli violence. The countries of the world, including Muslim countries, should protect the Palestinian people in the occupied territories," Raisi said.
He also called on Muslim countries to sever trade and economic ties with Israel and impose an oil embargo.
Raisi added that "the Iranian people 'kiss the hands' of members of the radical Hamas movement for fighting against the Jewish state and resisting."
It should be noted that this is the first visit by an Iranian president to Saudi Arabia since the restoration of diplomatic relations between the countries in March 2023. The meeting is also attended by the presidents of Syria and Turkey.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) overnight struck several Hamas facilities in the Gaza Strip, including an underground tunnel and a weapons depot. In addition, the Israeli military struck in the north of the enclave, targeting buildings used by Hamas fighters.
