Iran sends new batch of drones to Russia - intelligence

Russia continues talks with Iran in order to increase arms supplies.

The Russian Federation may hit Ukraine again with Iranian kamikaze drones Shahed, as Tehran has sent it a new batch of weapons, Andrey Yusov of the Defence Ministry's Main Directorate of Intelligence said on national TV marathon.

He also noted that the Russians have become more economical in their use, Yusov said:

"This is a new batch, but compared to the initial massive use of the Shaheds, it is clearly less." We are not commenting now on the numbers, but we can see that, for example, during yesterday's massive terrorist missile strikes, the Shaheds were not used. All other available means, all the missile weapons were used

Yusof also pointed out that Russia's interests in relation to Iranian weapons are much broader. Yusof said that the intelligence service is aware of the preliminary agreements between Russia and Iran on Iranian ballistic missiles

At the same time, according to the SMM, as of now, Russia has not yet received them.

Earlier, Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat explained that Russia had not attacked with drones during the 16 December shelling. According to him, the day earlier, on 15 December, Russian troops used them to identify the location of Ukrainian air defence and to correct the strike immediately on the day of the massive missile strike, 16 December.
