In Zaporizhzhya region, construction of the seventh underground school has already started

In the Zaporizhzhya region, construction has begun on the seventh anti-radiation underground shelter, which will function as a school and could be useful for several settlements. 1000 pupils will be able to study there. The underground school should be built by the end of the year. This was reported by the head of Zaporizhzhya OVA Ivan Fedorov.
The project for more than 95 million hryvnias will be realised at the expense of the state budget and co-financing from the regional budget. The underground school is designed for 1000 people in two shifts, - he informed.
According to Ivan Fedorov, the contractor should build the appropriate underground shelter in four months.
We are optimising the processes. We will finish the earthworks twice as fast as we did before. We are taking into account possible deterioration of weather conditions. We plan to complete the construction by the end of the year," he added.
We will remind, in April 2024 the chairman of Zaporizhzhya OVA Ivan Fedorov said that in Zaporizhzhya region they plan to build ten underground schools.
One of them will be part of the "Seche Collegium". It should be opened in the IV quarter of 2024. Another underground school is being built on the basis of 88 school in Kommunarsky district of Zaporizhzhya. It is planned to open in autumn. The third underground school is being built on the basis of Zaporizhzhya gymnasium № 107 in the Southern microdistrict of the city. The construction is planned to be completed by the end of November this year. The fourth one is being built on the basis of the college "Ellint". Another underground school is being built in Kushugum community, another one - in Shyrokivska community.
