In Russia, they will sell technique without the permission of the copyright holders

Russian stores Ozon and Svyaznoy have already started selling equipment through the so-called parallel import. This does not require the permission of the copyright holders.

This is reported by the publication "Gromadske" with reference to the Russian media.

The stores specify that the cost of equipment that was brought in due to "parallel imports" will be 10-20% more expensive than usual. But the device will be under warranty.

In order to freely import equipment, in early May the Russian government legalized the so-called parallel import of foreign goods, that is, the sale without the permission of the copyright holder. The list compiled by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade includes sound recording equipment, photo and film equipment, medical instruments, Apple watches, musical instruments, XBox, PlayStation and Nintendo consoles, more than 50 foreign car brands, the largest manufacturers of tires and components for the automotive industry.
