According to official figures, 487 Ukrainian athletes were killed in Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
An installation in memory of the Ukrainian athletes killed during the war in Ukraine has been installed in London. This is reported by the ASTRA Telegram channel.
In the centre of the installation are the numbers 487 painted in the colours of the national flag of Ukraine.
This number symbolises the number of athletes who, according to official data, were killed during the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine," the report says.
Sports equipment used in different sports is installed around the numbers.
The installation was organised by the British Foreign Ministry and the agency Freuds.
Earlier, Socialportal reported that master of sports in powerlifting, Ukrainian and European champion Andriy Mazanovych died at the front fighting Russian invaders.
