In Kyiv, officials of the state administration will be tried for embezzlement of funds

In the capital, the head and deputy head of the Department of Education will stand trial. They face up to eight years of imprisonment.
This was reported in the GU of the National police in Kyiv.
According to the investigation, officials embezzled budget funds when purchasing bio-toilets for shelters in educational institutions of Shevchenkivskyi district
We found out that the officials purchased the necessary items at an inflated cost. In turn, were unjustifiably transferred budget funds in the amount of more than 370 thousand hryvnias, - said the investigator of Shevchenkivskyi police Department Olena Yaremchuk.
The attackers were reported on suspicion of misappropriation, embezzlement of property or taking possession of it by abuse of office (part 4 of article 191 of the Criminal code of Ukraine).
Also Shevchenkivsky court appointed a measure of restraint in the form of bail in the amount of almost 190 thousand hryvnias to the head of the district Department of education.
The pre-trial investigation has been completed, the materials of criminal proceedings and the indictment have been sent to court.
It is noted that the suspects are threatened with imprisonment for 5 to 8 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
