In Kyiv, a saboteur set fire to Ukrzaliznytsya's relay cabinet

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police have detained a saboteur who was preparing a series of arson attacks on strategic facilities of Ukrzaliznytsya in Kiev on the instructions of Russian intelligence. This is reported by the SBU.

The main targets of the enemy were relay cabinets along the main railway lines in Kyiv.

To commit sabotage, the occupants attracted a local resident who was looking for a quick buck in Telegram channels, and thus got "into the attention" of the aggressor.

In order to fulfil the enemy's assignment, the saboteur first agreed a "target for arson" with the curator, and then poured a flammable mixture on the technological equipment of Ukrzaliznytsya and set it on fire.

The saboteur then filmed the burning of the cabinet on a camera phone to "report" to the special service of the aggressor country.

SBU officers documented the subversive activities of the enemy saboteur and detained him "on a hot trail" as a result of a special operation in Kiev.

According to available information, the attacker was supposed to prepare several more arson attacks on key facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia. In this way, the enemy hoped to damage the logistics of the Defence Forces.

Investigators of the SBU informed the detainee of suspicion under part 2 of article 28 and part 2 of article 113 of the Criminal Code (sabotage committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons).

The saboteur is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Earlier Socialportal reported that the SBU detained three FSB saboteurs as a result of special operations in Kharkiv and Rivne regions. The attackers set fire to relay cabinets on railway tracks in both regions.
