In Kherson, occupants shelled a railway station with an evacuation train

Today, 26 December, the Russian army attacked the railway station in Kherson, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko added that the enemy started a massive shelling of the city at the moment when about 140 civilians were waiting for an evacuation train. People were urgently evacuated to a safe place.

As of 21:00, one casualty is known - a policeman was fatally wounded during the evacuation of civilians. Two more police officers are in hospital with shrapnel wounds.

Also wounded several employees of the station - reports Ukrazaliznytsya.

As a result of the shelling of Kherson damaged the railway station and rolling stock Ukrzaliznytsya - said in the message.

The company noted that after stabilisation of the situation around the station people will be transferred and buses on the station square. And also began preparation of reserve cars, which will transfer to a safe place more than 100 passengers. So far, all of them are in shelter.

In Ukrzaliznytsya noted that they are ready to resume traffic.
