Pro-Ukrainian organisations in Germany reported sending threatening letters

Germany remains one of Ukraine's main allies in the West.

Pro-Ukrainian organisations in Germany that help the Ukrainian armed forces, including by purchasing drones for them, have started receiving letters that they regard as hijackings. This was reported by Donaustahl, allegedly on behalf of which these letters come.

The organisation believes that the notices are sent by the Russian FSB, which has already tried to discredit the organisation in Ukraine.

In reality, these are the Kremlin's henchmen who are trying to pit pro-Ukrainian forces in Germany against each other. The addresses of pro-Ukrainian people and organisations are on our mailing list, which the Russians have started to use for their own purposes," the organisation said in a statement.

The emails contain Russian narratives and blatant Russian propaganda. Moreover, many recipients regarded them as a threat to their activities.

The organisation said it was "prepared for such provocations, but understands that for many who are not as deeply involved, this came as a real shock".

It advised that if you receive such letters on behalf of the organisation, you should email Donaustahl.

For every documented fake letter, we give them a MAUS combat drone," it said.

Donaustahl GmbH, a German company, specialises in the development and production of defence systems. It prints Titan Falcon long-range drones on a 3D printer and supplies them to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Their product range also includes barrage munitions, civil defence devices and various explosive devices, such as the "trench sweep" and ammunition carrying kit that complements the MAUS platform.
