Thus, the total amount of payments under the IMF loan programme will be about $10.1bn.

The International Monetary Fund has approved an additional 400 million dollars for Ukraine under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Schmigal has said.

The IMF Executive Board has completed the seventh review of the EFF programme, which allows Ukraine to receive a new tranche of about 400 million dollars, - the Prime Minister said.

Thus, the total support of the State Budget of Ukraine through this programme during the war will exceed 10 billion dollars.

In 2025, Kiev expects to receive from the IMF more than 2.6 billion dollars as part of the total amount of foreign aid, projected at 38 billion dollars.

It is worth noting that the Washington-based International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a four-year, $15.6 billion loan for Ukraine in March 2023. The loan is part of a comprehensive financial support package that includes 122 billion dollars aimed at strengthening the country's fiscal, external and financial stability.

This is the first time in history that a loan has been provided to a state at war. The programme was agreed with the European Union, the USA and other G7 countries, which promised to provide financial assistance to cover Ukraine's state budget deficit.
