If there is no US support, we will retreat step by step - Zelensky

Ukraine has lost six months while discussions are underway in Washington on the allocation of aid to Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine will have to retreat step by step if the USA does not resume military assistance. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with The Washington Post.
If there is no US support, it means that we have no air defence systems, no Patriot missiles, no electronic warfare jammers, no 155 mm artillery shells. It means that we will go back, retreat, step by step, small steps," the Ukrainian president said.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine is trying to find a way not to leave the occupied positions.
If you don't take steps forward to prepare a new counter-offensive, Russia will take them. This is what we have learnt in this war: if you don't do it, Russia will do it," Zelensky said.
He also pointed out that if the front remains stable, the Ukrainian military will be able to arm and train new brigades in the rear to launch a new counter-offensive as early as this year.
We have lost six months. We cannot waste any more time. Ukraine cannot be a political issue between US parties," the Ukrainian leader said.
Zelenskyy added that if Ukraine falls, Putin will divide the world.
