The Hungarian government has closed its borders with Slovakia. Only two border crossings are available for transit transport of goods.
Information about the closure of the Slovak-Hungarian border for cargo transport, including those with Ukrainian licence plates, has appeared online. In particular, this was reported by the pro-RussianStrana.
According to the portal, Ukrainian truck drivers tried to pass to Ukraine through Hungary. However, Hungarians blocked the checkpoint at the border with Slovakia to prevent them from entering the country. More than a thousand trucks gathered in the queue at the border.
The portal also publishes a video allegedly filmed at the Slovak-Hungarian border on behalf of the hauliers.
Apostrof has also reported about the blockade of crossings between Slovakia and Hungary, citing journalist Kostyantyn Anriuk. He points out that Hungary has become the third country that prevents the passage of vans with Ukrainian licence plates.
