How much leave military personnel will get: Zelensky signed the updated law

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law which enshrines the right of servicemen to leave under martial law.
The document establishes a mandatory annual leave of at least 15 days, and another 15 days of rest (out of the total norm of 30 calendar days) can be granted depending on the capabilities of a particular unit.
According to the deputy head of the Office of the President, Pavel Palisa, the participants in combat operations will be entitled to an additional 14 days of leave, which was not previously granted under martial law. Changes are also envisaged for contract workers aged 18 to 24, who do not have higher education: they will be able to take leave to take exams.
The law will come into force one month after its official publication.
At the end of July, Zelensky said that together with the military command, he had decided to give Ukrainian military personnel an additional 15 days of rest, and this norm would come into effect in August. Later, Pavlo Palisa said that a mechanism of annual compensation for unused holiday days was also being developed, not only after dismissal from service. In addition, servicemen are still entitled to 10 days of family leave, to which travelling time is added if necessary.
