Hamas leader says under what conditions he is ready to release hostages

Israeli authorities say about 230 people are being held hostage.
Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip Yahya Sinwar offered to exchange hostages for militants from the Israeli prison. This is reported by the BBC.
We are ready to immediately conclude a prisoner exchange deal that includes the release of all Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons in exchange for all prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance," Sinwar said.
The terrorists took hostages during the Hamas incursion into Israel on 7 October. According to Israeli authorities, the number of hostages is about 230, including Israelis and foreign nationals.
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with relatives of people held by Hamas Islamists in the Gaza Strip. Relatives of Israelis kidnapped by Hamas are demanding that authorities consider a hostage exchange.
Sinwar was at the origin of the Hamas group, including its militant wing. In 1989, he was sentenced to four life terms for killing two Israeli soldiers and four Palestinians. In 2011, Sinwar was released in an exchange, he returned to Palestine and then became the group's leader in the Gaza Strip. Israel believes Sinwar was behind the October militant attack on Israel.
