12:00, 21.06.2025

As of mid-June 2025, Moscow has an impressive stockpile of missiles and drones, as well as a high rate of production.

As of 15 June 2025, Russia has more than 1,950 strategic missiles of various types - from ballistic and cruise missiles to advanced hypersonic Kinzhalov missiles. This is stated in the official response of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry to an enquiry by RBC-Ukraine.

Details of Russia's missile arsenal stockpiles:

  • Up to 500 9M723 Iskander-M ballistic missiles

  • Up to 300 9M728/9M729 Iskander-K cruise missiles

  • Up to 260 Kh-101 cruise missiles, which are launched by Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers

  • Up to 280 Kh-22 and Kh-32 cruisemissiles from Tu-22M3 bombers

  • More than 400 3M-14 Kalibr cruise missiles

  • Up to 150 hypersonic aeroballistic missiles Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" on MiG-31K fighters

  • Up to 60 North Korean-made KN-23 ballistic missiles

According to the GSD, Russia produces up to 195 missiles per month, including:

  • Up to 60 Iskander-M missiles

  • Up to 20 Iskander-K missiles

  • Up to 60 Kh-101 missiles

  • Up to 10 modernised Kh-32 missiles

  • Up to 30 Kalibr missiles

  • Up to 15 hypersonic "Kinzhal" missiles

Ukraine's military intelligence service reports that as of 15 June, Russia has more than 6,000 Geran-2 (Shahed-136) and Harpy-A1 strike drones in service, as well as more than 6,000 imitators (Gerbera) designed to disinform and distract air defence assets.

Russia is capable of producing up to 170 such drones daily, combining strike vehicles and their imitators. By the end of 2025, Moscow plans to increase the production of drones to 190 units per day," the GSD points out.

This impressive arsenal and production ramp-up, the intelligence agency said, demonstrate Russia's large-scale capabilities in the field of missile-drone technology, despite the ongoing conflict and international sanctions.
