GSD destroyed Russian radar station "Podlet" for 5 million dollars: details of the special operation

Ukrainian intelligence reported a successful operation in Crimea, during which a Russian radar station (radar station) Podlet was destroyed.
According to the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (MID), the operation was carried out on 28 November 2024. A map attached to the intelligence report shows that the attack took place in the western part of temporarily occupied Crimea.
An official statement from the GUR indicated that the Russian radar complex was "burned down", but no details about the use of any means or equipment during the operation were disclosed.
What does the Podlet radar station represent?
The 48Ya6-K1 Podlet radar station is designed to detect air targets at low and extremely low altitudes, especially in difficult conditions. This system plays a key role in the operation of Russian S-300 and S-400 anti-aircraft systems, providing them with guidance data.
The estimated value of the destroyed complex is about $5 million. The successful defeat of such a facility was an important blow to Russian air defence in the region.
Earlier we reported that on 20 November 2024, it became known that the Russian occupation forces are strengthening the protection of the Crimean bridge by moving air defence systems from Yevpatoria to the Kerch area. The Russian military is moving both equipment and air defence systems closer to the bridge. The move is aimed at strengthening its defences, given recent attacks on critical infrastructure in the region.
However, this decision has left the aircraft repair plant and the aerodrome in Yevpatoria virtually unguarded. According to sources, only aircraft fuselages and an old ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun are now on the territory of the plant.
