The money will be used to cover financial expenses and the maintenance of Ukrainian refugees.

This is reported by the publication "European truth".

Labor Minister Hubertus Heil said about 800,000 people from Ukraine have already taken refuge in Germany, 30% of them under 14.

According to Heil, about 360,000 Ukrainians are currently registered with Germany's social security system, of which 260,000 are looking for work.

"Now it's about giving them a job," he added.

The UN Refugee Agency said on Wednesday that more than 9 million people have crossed the border into Ukraine since the Russian invasion.
