Germany says when Russia and NATO will clash directly if the conflict in Ukraine is frozen

If the war in Ukraine is frozen, NATO will face a direct armed clash with Russia in six years' time. Such conclusions were reached by the German Society for Outdoor Policy (DGAP). The study was published by the German edition of Zeit.

Experts point out that in their conclusions refer to sources in the intelligence services of Germany.

It is noted that despite the two-year war, Russia maintains its military potential and, moreover, increases the production of weapons.

According to experts, Moscow will quickly build up its military capabilities, and NATO countries have five to nine years to build up their capabilities and prevent a possible conflict.

A Russian attack on the Baltic States could be one of the reasons for such a conflict," the experts wrote.

They believe that the window for a possible Russian attack will open as soon as Russia has the impression that an attack, for example on the Baltic states, could be successful.
