Debris removal after the Russian strike is underway at the Dnieper hydroelectric power plant.

Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko has said that the Russians may hit the Dnipro hydroelectric dam again and there is a risk of repeated missile strikes. The minister said this on air during a telethon.

Here we need to understand: it was a deliberate strike on the dam, or it's just that they did not hit the HPP. If it's a deliberate strike and they aim to destroy the dam itself, then, of course, these attacks will be repeated and they will attack the dam," he said.

He recalled that the invaders hit the Kakhovskaya HPP and pointed out that the Russians could repeat such a disaster.

Also Galushchenko informed that the defecting of equipment at Dnipro HPP is still in progress and only then it will be possible to estimate what time is needed to resume operation of the HPP.

The Minister added that it is still impossible to predict how much time is needed to restore the power generation indicators, which were at the HPP before the attack.

It is only when we remove all the rubble, when we can defect the equipment, it will be possible to determine the timeframe," Galushchenko stressed.

According to German Galushchenko, Ukraine's partners said that they were ready to immediately allocate 47m euros for the restoration of the energy system. These funds will make it possible to purchase the necessary equipment and materials.

We shall remind you that Russian occupation troops launched a massive missile strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine on the night of 21-22 March. In particular, the Dnieper hydropower plant in Zaporizhzhya was attacked.
