Slovakia's new prime minister Fitzo considers Ukraine "the most corrupt in the world".

The most pro-Russian country in the EU is not Hungary, but Slovakia, which recently refused to provide military aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Klimkin said this in an interview with Radio NV .

Slovakia, I emphasise, is the most pro-Russian country in Central Europe. Not Hungary, as it seems to many Ukrainians. According to many polls, Slovakia is the most pro-Russian country in the European Union and, of course, in Central Europe," he said.

We shall remind you that the early parliamentary elections in Slovakia were won by the pro-Russian party Smer. Its head Robert Fitzo believes that Russia will allegedly never leave the occupied territories.

On Wednesday, 25 October, Slovakia officially approved a new government headed by Robert Fitzo following the results of the parliamentary election. Officials unfavourable to Kiev's support turned out to be in key positions for Ukraine.

During his first meeting with the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the new Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo assured her that Bratislava would no longer support Ukraine militarily.

On Friday, 27 October, after the EU summit, Fitzo said that Ukraine was "the most corrupt country in the world" and that he had doubts about the need to increase financial aid from the European Union for Kiev.

In particular, he questioned the correctness of providing Ukraine with 50bn euros in aid for 2024-2027, adding that there was no agreement on this issue among EU member states.
