Fifty-three people are known to have been injured, six of them children. Eighteen people were hospitalised.
Tonight, 13 December, Russian forces launched a massive missile strike on Kyiv. As a result of the work of the air defence forces, about a dozen cases of falling debris were recorded. Data on the consequences was published by the Kiev city military administration.
It is reported that a total of about a dozen cases of falling debris were recorded. At the moment it is known about 53 victims, six of them children. Hospitalised in the hospital 18 people. Also damaged 19 cars, 4 of which are completely destroyed.
Goloseevsky district:
- falling debris on the carriageway of the road without subsequent burning.
Darnitsky district:
- fire of a private house on the area of 400 m2.
Desnyansky district:
- fire on the 7th floor of a 9-storey residential building and 8 cars in the courtyard of the house: evacuation of residents was carried out, 17 people were rescued, including 7 children;
- at two other locations in the district, rocket debris on fire was found in the open area.
Dniprovsky district:
- a blast wave blew out windows in two residential houses;
- fire of a private residential house on the area of 2 sq. m.; a rocket debris fall on the open area was found.
- rocket debris falling on 3 more private residential houses without fire, partial destruction of buildings and auxiliary structures;
- rocket debris falling on the carriageway, damage to the water supply network - emergency crews are working on site.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the night rocket shelling of Kyiv.
Tonight there were 10 ballistic missiles. All of them were shot down! Thank you to our Air Force and partners. Assistance is being provided to all those affected. I thank the services that are rescuing, helping and eliminating the consequences. We will continue to work, building up our defence capabilities. And there are already powerful new arrangements in place. We are working to accelerate the supply," Zelensky emphasised.
Zelensky noted that the day before he had agreed with US President Biden to work on increasing the number of air defence systems in Ukraine, and the next day the terrorist country demonstrated how important this decision was.
