Father of eight-year-old Mykhailo found dead in Kharkiv in hypermarket shelling
The body of the man killed in the shelling of a hypermarket in Kharkiv has been identified by DNA analysis taken from his eight-year-old son.
In Kharkiv, police have identified the body of the victim of the hypermarket shelling by analysing the DNA that was taken from his eight-year-old son Mykhaylo. This was reported by the National Police on 28 May.
The child and his mother came on 26 May to the headquarters of the investigative Department, which is deployed near the supermarket destroyed by Russian troops.
The boy did not wait for his father to return from work. They heard about the tragedy and the next day came to the police. DNA analyses were taken from the child, because he is a direct relative of the deceased man, - stated in the message.
Criminalists confirmed that the body of the man found yesterday belongs to the father of Misha. 38-year-old Alexander worked in a supermarket. on 25 May, the Russians killed him by dropping two aerial bombs on the supermarket at the height of the working day.
As of 06:00 am on 28 May, police have identified 16 bodies out of the 17 dead. Search operations are continuing.

Earlier Socialportal reported that on May 25, Russian troops at about 16 hit the construction hypermarket "Epicentre" in Kharkiv. There were about 200 people in the shop at the time of the strike.
"Epicentre" decided to help all the victims and families of those killed in the strike. The company will pay UAH 1m to the families of those killed in the attack, and will also cover all funeral expenses.
