Every fourth passenger of Kyiv metro is a privileged person

Last week, 5.1 million passengers used the capital's metro.
Almost 1.3 million of them are privileged people. This is reported by KP "Kyiv Metro".
During this period, specialists also organised 212 escorts for passengers from among low mobility groups. To order such escort, it is necessary to call (044) 238-55-11 or 050-448-91-71 and inform the route of a trip in the underground. The underground recommends calling an hour before the planned trip so that the underground employee would be waiting for the passenger at the initial station.
Planned infrastructure maintenance work also continues at the facility. Scheduled turn-by-turn overhaul of escalators at the station "Palace of Ukraine" continues.
Due to non-compliance with the rules of metro use by passengers, escalators stop. Thus, 138 stops were recorded last week for various reasons. In particular, 7 times passengers pressed the "stop" button unnecessarily, 57 stops occurred to prevent injuries, and another 39 - because of personal belongings. In "Kyiv Metro" urged to be attentive and observe the rules of behaviour.
Intervals of trains on weekdays during peak hours are 3:30-4:00 minutes, during off-peak hours - 5:00-6:15 minutes. On weekends, the wait for a train is 6-7 minutes.
At the stations there are information stands with a special button to call the operator of the information service, where passengers can promptly get advice on the following issues:
station operation mode;
sheltering at stations during an air raid;
escorting passengers from low mobility groups;
calling an ambulance for a passenger
calling a station employee or the police in case of an emergency, and much more.
