Expert says how many missiles Russia launches at Ukraine every month

Russia launches an average of 20 missiles at Ukraine every month, which is less than it was six months ago. This was stated by an expert of the Defence Strategies Centre, captain of the first rank of the Ukrainian Navy reserve, Andriy Ryzhenko, on the air of the Ukrainian Radio.

At the same time, he noted that Russia had no plans to stop missile attacks.

Speaking about where Russia is firing, Ryzhenko noted that recently these are objects related to the Ukrainian counter-offensive.

In particular, we are talking about the possible delivery of weapons by Ukraine's partners. On the positive side, our air defence shoots down most of such missiles, but the threat remains," he pointed out.

Ryzhenko stressed that the Russians are creating a new grouping on the Sea of Azov, which will be called "Azov Naval Area" and will be part of the Black Sea Fleet based in Mariupol. In his opinion, the Russian Federation plans to use the grouping to shell Ukrainian territory.

There they may have three missile ships of the "karakurt" type: one is already ready and two are still under construction. That is, the threat of a missile attack by the occupants from this area remains. There is also a threat of a missile attack from the Caspian Sea. The enemy has four ships based there," he said.

He added that the Russians also have warships with missiles in the Mediterranean Sea, but, in his opinion, the Russians are afraid to fire from there.
