The expert told when the price of buckwheat will fall
It is difficult to predict the exact level of food prices in today's realities.
Economist Oleg Penzin gives a fairly optimistic forecast, arguing that before the end of the year one should not expect too radical jumps in food prices. UNIAN writes about it.
From today's level, prices will rise by another 8-9 percent by the end of the year. The overall increase in food prices compared to last year's level will be 35-38 percent, - said Penzin.
Oleg Penzin believes that vegetables will become cheaper until the end of September due to active harvesting, and from next month vegetables will become much more expensive. Meat and dairy products will also rise in price.
Farmers responded to the shortage and sowed 1.5 times more buckwheat. If earlier they sowed 70,000 hectares, now they sow 120,000 hectares. In the coming years, we will also grow more buckwheat. And it will be more than enough for domestic consumption. Therefore, from October-November, consumers will see our buckwheat in stores at a lower price than now, - said Taras Vysotsky, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.
That is, buckwheat, beloved by all, although it has more than doubled in price since the beginning of the year, will become cheaper.
Economists emphasize that there are no magic recipes that will save Ukrainians from inflation. The only thing that the state can do today is to slow down its pace a little if it has a competent policy, or at least make its influence less tangible.
