Ex-deputy of Poland forced to expel a refugee from Ukraine

The ex-deputy was given an ultimatum: either he will expel a Ukrainian woman with teenage children from the office, or he will lose an apartment near the center of Warsaw.
Piotr Ikonowicz, leader of the "Social Justice" movement, ex-deputy of Poland, gave the organization's office for the settlement of refugees. This was reported by eska.pl.
I know that there are laws that forbid living in an office. But there are those who prohibit the bombing of Ukrainian cities. And Putin doesn’t give a damn about them,” ex-deputy Piotr Ikonovich is quoted by eska.pl.
Now the city is threatening to terminate the lease if the mother and children do not leave. We received permission to convert the bathroom into a shower. We are raising funds, we already have specialists who volunteered to make this repair. For us, Marina, her two daughters and son are not only refugees, but also friends. And friends in poverty do not leave. I see no reason for the Warsaw authorities to continue the work begun by the Russian occupier. Their work is detrimental to this family,” the ex-deputy said.
The Warsaw authorities stated that the premises did not meet the requirements for residential premises.
The apartment must comply with the relevant technical conditions defined in Polish law, in particular for environmental friendliness, fire safety, hygienic and sanitary conditions. The tenant does not use the premises for its intended purpose, and therefore received instructions on what he must do to ensure the safety of the people there, the city authorities said.
The authorities also said that the city provides accommodation for refugees in two office buildings and there would be a place for Marina and her children.
