Ex-deputy illegally acquired land on the Black Sea coast, which could have disrupted the defence
In Odessa Region, an ex-deputy together with his accomplices embezzled 15 land plots on the Black Sea coast. Illegal possession of the land could have disrupted fortification of the region's coastline.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine in Odessa Region.
The SBU has detained a former deputy of the Zatokivskyy village council who organised a "scheme" to embezzle land on the Black Sea coast.
According to the investigation, the illegal activities of the former deputy led to the theft of 15 land plots totalling 15m hryvnias. The main mechanism of land embezzlement consisted in forging documents.
It has been established that the former MP prepared false documents on the alleged decision of two village councils to transfer 15 land plots near the sea area into private ownership. To forge the documents, the figure involved a local engineer-land surveyor," the SBU said.
After that, the attackers passed the forged documents to "their" state registrars for registration of the land on fake buyers.
It is noted that the activities of the attackers could disrupt the fortification of the coastline in Odessa region.
During searches found forged documentation, stamps and computer equipment, which were used to implement the criminal scheme, - added in the security service.
The organiser of the transaction is in custody. Another four participants of the "scheme" law enforcers reported suspicion under several articles of the Criminal code of Ukraine:
- ч. 3 Art. 28 (committing a crime by a group of persons, a group of persons by prior conspiracy, an organised group or a criminal organisation);
- ч. 3, 4 of Art. 358 (forgery of documents, seals, stamps and letterheads, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps);
- ч. 4 of article 190 (fraud);
- ч. 3 of Art. 209 (legalisation, laundering of proceeds of crime).
Earlier Socialportal reported that in the Odessa region due to mass poisoning with alcohol died 7 people. As it turned out, the victims consumed artisanal vodka, which was sold in a village shop. The realiser and the supplier were detained.
