Poland has received the largest number of Ukrainians since the beginning of the war.

The Republic of Poland has already accepted 2.3 million Ukrainian refugees, providing them with everything they need as much as possible. This was stated by President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda during a video conference with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Office of the President reports.

In turn, the head of the Ukrainian state thanked his Polish counterpart for receiving Ukrainian refugees.

At the same time, the President of Ukraine again noted the need to exclude shelling of Ukrainian cities from the air. He expressed disappointment that the Soviet-made aircraft that the Eastern European countries, in particular Poland, have not yet been transferred to our state, although both these countries and the United States have publicly declared their readiness for such a decision.

The price of delay with aircraft is thousands of Ukrainian lives that we are losing from missile and air strikes on peaceful Ukrainian cities,” Zelensky said.

According to him, aircraft, tanks and long-range air defense systems would give Ukraine the opportunity to really protect freedom throughout our territory and turn the tide of hostilities.

If partners do not help Ukraine with planes and tanks, and they have such capabilities, then there is a high risk that Russian troops will create not only a missile threat to the territory of our neighbors - friendly to Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and the Baltic countries, but also direct general military. On their borders, under their cities. And they will go further,” the President of Ukraine said.
